Christmas Tradition

Ever since mine and Goose's first Christmas together. I have bought a cow ornament for our Christmas tree. I definitely have my favorites. Take a look and see which ones you like.

2003 This is my absolute favorite!! It was our first and it references the Dairy.

2004
This is "interesting" . I give it a 7 for originality.

2005
Now she is different! I like her cause she reminds me of...well..me! She dances to the beat of her own drum!

2006
I don't know what it is about fat cows with little feet, but when I look at her I can't help but smile.

2007
How do I explain her??? Well...it came down to the wire and I hadn't bought my cow for the year(don't judge...I was all but about to pop this time last year). So I had my Mom go by Kohl's. I had seen some really cute cows there. I thought this would be an easy task.

As you can see...I was wrong! This was the only one that Kohl's had...Thus...my cow for 2007. I would like to venture a guess that this will be the most memorable.

2008

And here is the newest addition to my "herd"! HAHAHA!! Sorry...sometimes I have to take a minute to laugh at my own jokes! What? If I don't laugh at them....who will?

I got this one when we took the kids to Miss Caycees to see Santa. I was so please!

Bonus...I also added Tenley and Miles 1st ornaments.

Tenley 1st Christmas...
Miles First Christmas...

Merry Christmas from our Family to yours!!!

Here comes Santa!!

When we took Tenley to the Lubbock Mall to see Santa her first Christmas she threw such a fit that she made the Lubbock paper.
I like to think it was also because she is so cute!! After that HORRIBLE experience I stayed away from Santa last year.

So this year I was really excited about trying again. I mean she knows who Santa is and she knows that he brings toys to good little boys and girls.

Well...
I guess...she still isn't quite ready!!!

We had Tenley go first thinking she would do great and we didn't want Miles to throw a fit and scare her!! Ha...the joke was on us! Miles did GREAT!!! No tears, No Fusing! He jabbered to Santa! Even tugged on his beard to make sure it was real!
Needless to say we should have let Miles to go first! Maybe Tenley would have seen how easy it is!
Miles knows what he is doing...he is already in with Santa!
If you think it is hard to get a picture with Santa and one kid...you should try six!!! Some one should tell Santa he is supposed to be ready at ALL times!!

Thanksgiving

Our plans changed a little bit this Thanksgiving. Usually, if we are spending Thanksgiving with Goose's side of the family, we would make the 6 hrs drive up to Oklahoma City, but this year we did things a little different. Thanksgiving day the kids and I ate lunch at Grandma's with the Stansell clan. Then it was off to my Granny's were the kids took their much needed naps. When they woke up. We headed over to Nancy's to see her family. After visiting for about a hour we went back to Granny's for supper. It was a long but great day! Packed with lots of Family and food. Who could ask for a better Thanksgiving?

You may be asking yourself were was Goose while all this Family and food time was going on? Well...poor guy! He was home sleeping. He had been battling a cold for over a week and in the end the cold won! He came home right about the time we were heading out for Grandma's, and he went straight to bed!

Friday, after the kids got up and everything was packed we left for Midland. We had such a great time at Chris and Alanna's. We spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday at their house. Cara, Beau, & Ian were down visiting family and Debra came in as well! Once again...lots of Family and food!

Tenley did get the stomach bug Friday night, but by Saturday Morning see seemed to be over it!

You have to forgive me...I missed a lot of photo opts. It seems I couldn't stop having fun long enough to go grab my camera, but here is some of what I did get!
Ian and Miles were playing so cute together, I went to get my camera, but by the time I came back Miles was already crawling off.

Miles is such a happy little boy...all grins & smile!
Kate is just too cute. She was definately ready for her photo opp.

Well, we decided we needed to get a picture of all the kids with their Granny before she headed back to Abilene. Needless to say Tenley was a little less than cooperative!!
Tenley wasn't the only one tired of taking pictures. Kate has had about all she can stand!!
Have you noticed the chain reaction Tenley started? First her then Kate now poor Ian!

Oops, there goes Miles. I think this photo shoot is over!!
While we were there Tenley, Rachel and Luke played dress up. Here is Luke aka Shaggy(Scoobie doo)!!
Have no fear...Super Tenley is here!!!!
Batman made an appearance!
Luke even shared his Spiderman costume with Tenley. They played so well together! I don't know why I don't have any pictures of Rachel. She was playing with them too.
On Sunday afternoon Nancy & Steve came over to Midland. Steve with the little guys! Can you tell the boys are teething?? Look at them chewing on their fingers!!
Awe!! Sweet kisses!!!

Thanks Chris & Alanna...we had a great time!
