Thanksgiving '09

This is WAY late, but I didn't want you to miss out on our Thanksgiving pictures.

Goose had to work through Thanksgiving week. So the kids and I loaded up and headed to Dallas to spend Thanksgiving at my sister's house, with the rest of my family.

We had a great time! Tenley and Miles played with their cousin Ethan. They always enjoy getting a chance to play with him. I was really proud of how well they played together!

I'm not really sure what this face was about...but clearly there was something behind it!

Happiness!!!

Ethan seemed to really enjoy all the family time as well.

Taking a break from all the playtime and watching some cartoons.

Pop with his grandsons.
Miles was not very happy that Tenley took his spot on Pop's lap...he wanted down after that.

Sometimes it's just more fun to read the sale circulars together.

Dwayne and Ethan

O'ma and Pop with the grandkids.

We had a great time...we just wish Goose could have been there with us...he was missed!!

Baby Bumps!

For those of you who don't know...or don't remember.

When I was pregnant with Miles, my sister-in-law, Cara was also pregnant. She had their first son just an month and a half after we had Miles.

Well...we have done it again!! I am due January 30th with our third and Cara is due February 15th with their second son.

We took baby bump pictures with the boys and we were excited to do it again this time. And just like last time Cara looks a lot further along than me.

Our sweet husbands agreed to be our photographers. Aren't we cute!! We have been very excited to be experiencing this together again.

After we were done taking "normal" pictures, Goose decided we needed to have a little fun! You know Show off the bumps a little bit. Cara wasn't sure at first...

...But she came around and we had a great time "working" our baby bumps!

I can't believe that in about 6 to 7 weeks we will be able to actually show off our newest little babies!!!

Cara, it has been great sharing this special time with you! I am sorry I keep stealing your moment, but I love that our kids will always be close! I love you!!!

We made a trip to Midland a few weeks ago to visit Chris, Alanna, and the kids. It was a fast trip, but so worth it!!! We were able to see Rachel cheer. IT WAS FREEZING!!!
Rachel did an excellent job!!!
I'm not really sure what she was trying to show me...but I love her face...so much excitement!!

A great profile shot...so serious!!

Did I mention, it was freezing?!? What you see here is Grandma's attempt to keep warm!!

This was Goose's attempt to make me look like Grandma...thus keeping me warm!!

Miles decided to take a rest next to Granddad.
I'm not really sure why Miles has that look on his face.
How sweet!! A quick hug between cousins!!

Between Alanna and I we were able to get some GREAT Daddy/Son moments...

Such a good Daddy...making sure Miles stays warm!!

Miles LOVES his Daddy!!!
This is my Favorite!!!

Halloween 2009

We don't ever do much on Halloween, but I do love to dress my kids up! I worked several days on Raggedy Ann & Andy outfits, but I didn't realize how much work that would take...so that will be next year!
This year Tinkerbell and Miles the Dairy farmer and I loaded up in the car and headed out to see family and friends...

They were so excited...they knew the candy was coming!!! I love that Miles already has the "Farmer's gut"!!!
Miles wanted to show off his favorite cow Annabell!! We left the rest of the herd at home...I knew who would be carrying them before the night was over.

Grandnanna was ready for them...I actually had to tell them to STOP putting candy in their sacks...Grandnanna wasn't about to tell them!
For the last three years after we go see family. We head over to the Zalman's and trick or treat the five houses on their block. It is really sweet...they are all older couples and they look forward to the kids every year.
Zanye...look this way buddy!!!

Lord help us...we've lost them all now!!
Thomas the train...Miles the Dairy Farmer...Lt. Zalman...Tinkerbell

Trick or Treat...give me something good to eat...PLEEEEEASE!!!
I wish I knew what she thought was so funny!

After filling our sacks with candy we played at the Zalman's for a while...It wasn't long before Tinkerbell started transforming into Frankenstein...and Thomas decided to be a Cowboy!

The kids had a great time!!!

Pics From the Past...

Here are just some random pics I stumbled across when looking through my pictures. I thought I would share them with you.
A little fun in the kiddie pool during Luke's B-day party! Unless I am mistaken Tenley is about to splash Miles!!!
Miles isn't sure what to think about all the dolphins on the pool. But I think he likes them.
Looks like Tenley is trying to hog the kiddie pool all to herself...
Miles and Tenley were both given a beach ball at another summer birthday party they attended. They both love them...they have Goose and I blow them back up just about every other day.
Tenley was all too excited to show hers off for the camera
What is a nap without your favorite monkey...Monkey

Naps with your favorite baby doll...priceless!!
All dressed up and going to church. She loves to wear my shades when the sun gets in her eyes.

Cousin time...Miles loves his cousin Luke...they are big buddies.

Having lunch at Grandpa & Grandnanna's.
I love this picture...Kate looks so disinterested in what Rachel is doing...but I am sure it was just the way I caught the picture.

Look at those faces...I guess lunch never tasted so good.
Now they are taking care of business...eat first play later.
Even Miller came over to eat with us...good times!!
I can't even being to tell you the fun Tenley was having running through the puddles on our driveway. Oh...to be a carefree kid!!!
She was showing me how she can fit into Miles' car. I think you can tell she was pretty proud of herself!!!
Miles had just found Tenley's balloon ball.
The details are a little fuzzy, but Tenley ended up with the car and the balloon ball...something is a little sketchy!!!

Oh...the Treasures you find...

Every so often I look through my pictures just to refresh my memory on all the pictures I have taken. Most of the pictures I take with the intent of blogging about them. I want to keep y'all up to date with the goings on of our family. Then before I know it I get too busy, or forget and move on to another blog posts. Well I thought these deserved some mention...even if it is late!!!
These pictures are from our last trip to Colorado. We made a quick run up to Co the beginning of June...in between my job change.

Little Miles taking a morning nap with his Pop. We usually drive up there at night so the kids can sleep. This seems to make the trip go faster. Plus this also puts us there really early, so we don't feel like we are giving up a day to travel.
By the time we arrived Miles was still fast asleep, so I just slid him into bed with his Pop. Neither one seemed to mind!!!
Mom and Dad have some really good friends in Co. Among them are Kelly and Kay. Whenever we come in we usually have a supper where we get to seem them and their family. This is one of their grand daughters...playing with Miles and Tenley in the bed of Kelly's truck.
Who knew a truck could be so much fun!
My Mom is proving you are never too old to be a "skater"...Although she wouldn't let go of Ross' hands the whole time she was on the board. I guess it still counts!
She is getting all the pointers she can before she put both feet on the board!!!
There is a park just down the road from Mom and Dad's place. The last few times we have gone to visit, Dad usually takes time to take the kids to play.
Miles' loved the swing...I think his Pop pushed him for about 30 mins.
Tenley thought they were a lot of fun too. She wanted to swing in a baby swing so she could be next to Miles.
Time for a break!! I don't know why I love this picture. I know you can't see his face, but he was having so much fun and then he just ran over to the bench and sat to have a drink...priceless!!!
Posing for the camera. Such a sweet face...don't let her fool you!!!
A big slide for a big girl! It took a little coaxing, but she finally came down the slide.
Miles decided to stick with smaller slides...no big deal he will graduate to the bigger slides soon enough!!

We love going to visit our family in Colorado. We always have such a great time and the weather is always beautiful!!! We just wish that Snyder and Denver were closer than 10hrs apart. That way we could do it more often. I guess until God "moves mountains" we will just have to settle for the short visits we get every so often. It does make us cherish the times together all the more!!!
