Sydney's Birthday Party

On Feb 6th we had a small party for Sydney. She turned 1 on the 3rd. We sort of followed suit with Miles' party. We had family & friends gather at our church. We had cupcakes, cake, Syd's own personal cake(there was a lot of cake baking at our house that day) and home ice cream(of course). Sydney's theme was Minnie Mouse.
Syd was so sweet...she let me do most of the gift opening. She would just wait for me to open them and then get excited about what I pulled out.
A ladybug pillow pet...
Yay!!! She got lots of neat stuff.
She wasn't shy about it...
She dug right in!!!
She was so sweet. She actually held out her hand for Tenley to take a taste!
I imagine Syd is thinking...I already gave you a bite...keep your hands off!
Then Miles had to try a piece...don't they know all the cakes taste the same? I just made Syd a small one so she could make a mess.
This was the cake the adults shared...I know, I need to work on my cake decoration skills!!!
I wanted to get a pic of Syd and Uncle Rick(they share the same birthday), but Syd wanted nothing of it, so Uncle Rick decided to look as happy as she did. Maybe next year!

Miles' Bday Party

Wow...No posts so far in February! I guess you could say I'm more than a little behind. I had some technical difficulties with my blog, but now that I have them resoveled I'll do my best to catch everyone up as quickly as I can.

I left off at Miles' Bday. I rented a jumper and we had friends and faimly come up to our church gym. We played and jumped, ate pizza, cake, and ice cream, and openned a ton of gifts. All and all I think it was a pretty good party. Here are some of the pics from his party...
You wouldn't believe it from the look on his face, but it took a little coaxing to get this sweet boy to open his gifts? Once everyone turned to watch him open his gifts, he turned shy. He told me he didn't want to open his gifts cause everyone was watching him.
Once that finally wore off...he quickly started tearing into them.
He was so excited when he openned his big yellow dump truck...aka tractor. Everything is a tractor to him.
His very own memory game. He plays with Tenley Dr Suess memory game, but now he has his own.
Does it get any cooler than a Buzz Lightyear sleeping bag? He couldn't wait to take it to school as use it as his sleep mat.
C.A.R.S!!!!
This isn't just any stick horse...this one makes horse noises. So when Miles plays sometimes he uses the horse noises and sometimes he makes his own.
So much thought and concentration goes into openning gifts...who knew.
Miles' got a Big Boy bike from us...he loves it. He asks me just about everyday if he can ride as soon as he gets home.
So cool...So smooth!
Toy Story 3...all the way!!!
The cake may look simple, but is was oh so yummy! The home made ice cream could have had something to do with it.
Sydney has already decided Miles' needed to share his toys.
It's a perfect fit!
I love the help from the sidelines...

It has been almost 2 months and I still can't believe my baby boy is 3.
