It's Rolling Over Time...Baby!!!!

You guessed it! Miles is rolling over!!! Yea Miles!!!

Some of you might view this video as child abuse, but I assure you...it isn't. Miles loves rolling over!!! He is just...giving himself...a pep talk!!!!

I also tried to get Tenley to sing for you. She started to, but then she saw the camera and stopped. She's a little camera shy!!!

All about Miles

Just in case you haven't heard...my little boy is as precious as they come!!!!

Miles is happy so much of the time. I only hesitate a moment not to say he is happy All the time, because lets face it. He is a baby and All is a strong word!!

Miles is so much like his Daddy!!! As long as he is fed, changed and has had his naps, he is in a wonderful mood!!! Yup...just like his Daddy!!! He is so laid back. If I hadn't been there I would begin to doubt he was even mine!!! Ha Ha!!! No seriously, he is all ours, he just has his daddy's personality.

Miles LOVES to have his diaper changed. Don't ask me why...I couldn't tell you!!!! This video of him was taken just before I changed his diaper. Let me just say that he was a little distracted by the camera, but we still got some good smiles.

Our First Official Play Date...

I know what you are thinking and YES...Tenley has played with other kids. She loves to play with Zachary, Laney Kate, Chloe, and Azzie. BUT this was our first scheduled play date. Miles as usual slept through this whole experience. He will have to have another "first" play date.

A couple of Saturdays ago. We(Me, Tenley, and Miles) met up with other Moms and kids on the playground at the new Snyder Elementary School. If you have never been...it is great!! There were three other Moms (we all have ties to Patterson) and four other kids. The kids and us Moms had a great time. We are definitely going to do this again...but when it is warmer!!! It was cold that Saturday.

Tenley enjoying the slide. It was her favorite thing to do. She didn't want to swing...she just wanted to slide!!
This is Shelby...she didn't want me to take her picture. I tried several times, but she would always look away. Shelby is a week older than Tenley.
This is Blayne...He was having fun doing whatever!!! He was just glad to be on the playground. Blayne will be 3 in June.

Shelby, Tenley and Blake

Shelby up top. Blayne coming down. Tenley reaching for something. and Emily hiding on the side!!!
Tenley is kind of hidden. Blayne and Shelby playing in the middle. Walker is posing!!
This is Walker...He was more than happy for me to take his picture. He was all smiles!!! I believe that Walker is older than Shelby and Tenley, but younger than Blayne.

Tenley smiling for the camera.

Tenley and Blayne taking a break.
This is Blake...he is Blayne's younger brother. As you can tell he is tired of Tenley giving him kisses. Blake will be 1 in August. He is already pulling up!!!
Blake, Tenley, and Shelby

You can see for yourselves that the kids had a great time!!!
You might be asking yourselves where the Dads were. Well...they decided to do a little playing of their own. Playing golf that is!!!
So...everyone had fun. You can't go wrong with that!!

Tenley's Party!!!

As I said our Easter weekend was busy...busy...busy!!! After we hunted eggs and visited with family on Saturday. I had Tenley's birthday party on Sunday.

Yes, I know Sunday was EASTER Sunday. But that was the only time that it would work out for family to come. The weekend of her birthday a lot of the family members were going to be working. Plus as a bonus, with us having the party on Easter Sunday we were able to have MORE family that otherwise wouldn't have been able to come. Like Aunt Nicki, Uncle Beau, Aunt Cara, little cousin Ian, Ricky and Lori.

With all of the family it was close quarters, but all in all I think it was ok. With there being so many people I did become painfully aware of the fact that Goose, me, and ten kids are not going to fit in that house. I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Tenley had a great time!! As you can see her theme was "Cars".

Goose and I were so excited to give Tenley a tricycle for her birthday. We did have mixed emotions though. Most of you probably don't know, but Tenley's big gift for Christmas was a rocking horse. Goose and I just knew she would love it. She loved the "ride a little horsey" song. Why wouldn't she love her very own little horsey??? Well she didn't!!! And to tell you the truth she still doesn't have very much to do with "Clyde" (He came with that name!!)
It seems as though we did much better this time. It took her a minute to take the tricycle in, but when she did, she couldn't contain her excitement. She wanted to ride it right there in the living room. While holding her new toys, of course!! Now she loves to take her "cycle" out and play on the driveway. She rides it like Fred Flintstone would....all feet. Goose tried to get her to use her peddles. She wanted nothing to do with it!!!

A good friend, that I work with (she had a daughter Tenley's age), told me the other day that she read that age 3 is when kids are developmentally ready to learn to use the peddles.....oh well!!! Tenley can have fun being "Fred" til she is 3.

With Easter weekend being the first time that all the Stansell (and Mcloed) grand kids were together. Us adults thought it would be a great Kodak moment. All I can say it the kids had something else in mind!!!

I took three pictures and I thought these were the best two. I will let you decide which is the best one!! As you can tell the babies want nothing to do with this picture business!!!
Now...if you look all 3 of the the big kids are smiling beautifully!!! Now...the babies on the other hand. I think Kate is making a break for it. Ian is just plum conked out!! And Miles is staring at whoever is sitting in the recliner. Isn't that about right?? If the big kids are happy then the babies are upset. If the babies are happy then the big kids are upset!!!

Maybe next time!!!

Easter

I know this is a little late, but you know what they say....better late than never!!
We had such a great Easter weekend!! It all started with a the Stansell's "Easter gathering". At least that is what I have always called it. Both sides of Goose's family get together to eat, fellowship, and hunt eggs. It is always a lot of fun.

As you can see Tenley took the hunting Easter eggs part very serious. She had more eggs than she knew what to do with. It worked out quite nicely that she had a private spot to hunt eggs. While all the other kids scrambled out front, we worked our way to the side.
If fact, she had so many eggs that her Daddy graciously "stored" several in his pockets!!! Aunt Tootsie caught him in the act!!!
He assures me that he gave all Tenley's eggs back. But I am not convinced that he gave them back with the candy still inside. Goose says that is one of the perks of having kids...you get Easter eggs again!!
Tenley had a great time hunting eggs and visiting with all her cousins!!
You are probably wondering where Miles was during all this excitement. Well...Goose tried to carry him around a little bit, to help Tenley, but he didn't want any part of it. He went inside to take a little nap. Grandma and Aunt June graciously watched him so that Goose and I could hunt with Tenely.
