Special and Unique...
My kids are special and unique. Yes, I'm aware of how that sounds. I know all Mothers feel this way about there kids. Allow me to explain further...
Each one of my 3 kids was born on a significant day.
Tenley came first March 16, 2006...
...and yes, she was born on her due date(which is significant enough in and of itself), but not just any date. She shares a birthday with my Gramps. Sadly he died several years before she was born, but he still means so much to me.
I couldn't begin to explain to you just how special Gramps was...there just isn't enough blog space. But know everyone loved him and he loved them right back(with his whole heart). And NO ONE can give a hug like he did(I miss his hugs). He always made you feel special and welcomed in their home.
Gramps would have loved Tenley. He would have beamed with pride and joy, from ear to ear that she was born on his birthday. Now every year I have a pleasant reminder of him.
Clearly this picture was taken SEVERAL years ago!!
Miles came second...January 4, 2008 in all his glory...
I wager there are not many people that would opt to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary by having a beautiful baby boy, but that is just what we did. Yup...we had Miles on our Anniversary.
Trust me...not as glamorous as it sounds, I inadvertently gave Goose a legitimate excuse not to take me away on our anniversary now...but of course I wouldn't trade him for all the get aways.
Just a couple of kids who feel in love and got married! I think I look the same, but Goose looks so young.
And the last, but certainly NOT the least came Miss Sydney Clair February 3, 2010...
She shares her birthday with not one...but two great Uncles! One from each side of the family...
Uncle David(Goose's Uncle)...
...and Uncle Rick(my Uncle)
I wonder what special day we will hit next?!?!
See...my kids are special and unique! But I will also say...ALL babies(big or small) are special, unique, and precious all in their own way!!!

Vote For Tenley!
Apparently the link to vote for Tenley's picture changes daily(depending on her rank), so I will be updating this link daily for easy voting...Thank you all so much for taking the time.
It would be so cool if Tenley won. We would be sent to New York for a photo shoot and then if her picture is selected she could be on the cover of Parents magazine in the Fall. So Please help us get votes...vote on your smart phones, vote on your computer, tell your friends and family to vote, and you can vote daily until the 27th. It only takes a second. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

Fly-in 2010
Warning...This is a long post!
My memory is not as good as Goose's. Then again not many people have a memory as good as Goose.
Anyway...because of my shabby memory, there are only a couple of things that trigger memories from my childhood. The yearly Fly-in is one of them. We would go EVERY year(as a family!) So I love it when the Fly-in rolls around.
Now it is even better because I can take my kids to two. The one here in Snyder happens in June each year. And the one in C-city(the one I always went to as a kid) happens every 4th of July.
Snyder's Fly-in was last weekend so we did it BIG!!!
We started in Steve & Nancy's front yard, Grandma, Granddad, and Aunt Gwennie brought donuts and Nancy had the coffee ready. We all watched the air show...It was great! They flew right over us several times.
Here is the first plane fly over while waiting for the show to start...
Tenley and Miles enjoying the breakfast...

"Uh, which way did he go?"...
Another "keeper"...
Cute side story...Tenley couldn't even look at Aunt Gwennie's knee, but as soon as Miles saw it, he was so concerned. He kept touching it ever so softly and saying "ooouuch, it hurt!". Maybe the Stansell's have another Dr on their hands...
Tenley trying out the comfy chair...
Nancy met Alanna in Big Spring on Friday night so they could enjoy the Fly-in with us on Saturday morning(Luke had a Bday party to go to Friday night, we sure did miss him).
Kate is SO photogenic...it must be the smile...
SO excited...
Miles was getting his stool ready to sit on...even though there wasn't a whole lot of sitting done by the kids...
Rachel was so sweet...every time I asked her to smile for the camera she would give me her best smile. I still can't believe she is 9...Holy Crap time flies!!!
Time for the show...
They flew over us several times...
I love this picture!!! If I would have put Sydney in Rachal's lap it would have been a complete picture..."Stansell Girls"...
Katie Bug...
Aunt Gwennie. Sydney is zoned in on that donut...
When we got to the airport they were having a little car show as well. I had the kids pick a car and I took their picture by it...the car was their pick.
Rachal's Car...
Miles' Car...
Tenley's Car...
I couldn't get Kate to pic one...maybe next year!
Now for the planes...
Where's Tenley?...Hummm interesting, I didn't realize she wasn't in this picture.
Oh there she is...Daddy is helping her get a closer look...
Miles was ready to go for a ride...
We even ran into a familiar face...

"Um a Cowboy"
If I let Miles choose...this is what he would wear EVERYDAY!!!
He comes home from school. Takes off his clothes. Puts his boots on. Then adds the hard hat. Looks at me. Puffs out his chest and says...Um a Cowboy!

Happy Father's Day
I am not a writer by any means...and I don't claim to be. But as I was searching for a poem for Goose I was amazed by all the crappy ones out there. I kept thinking, Really?!? I could write one better than that and it would mean more to him. So...that's just what I did...
People could look high and low
Near and far
but No better Father could there be
than You, to our precious three.
To Tenley, you are the best example
of what she should strive to find.
She would be so blessed
to marry a man as sweet and kind.
Now Miles,
He sees you so big and strong.
I truly think in his eyes
you could do no wrong.
Sydney loves to be cuddled,
so she often finds a place.
Snuggled deeply
in your warm fatherly embrace.
I guess to sum it up
to them and me you are the best,
miles and miles above the rest.
We love you...Happy Father's Day!!!

Tractor Ride
Miles favorite thing to do is ride tractors with his Daddy or Grandpa. So the other day when Grandpa asked Miles if he wanted to help him move hay bails...Miles was so excited!
