Warning...This is a long post!
My memory is not as good as Goose's. Then again not many people have a memory as good as Goose.
Anyway...because of my shabby memory, there are only a couple of things that trigger memories from my childhood. The yearly Fly-in is one of them. We would go EVERY year(as a family!) So I love it when the Fly-in rolls around.
Now it is even better because I can take my kids to two. The one here in Snyder happens in June each year. And the one in C-city(the one I always went to as a kid) happens every 4th of July.
Snyder's Fly-in was last weekend so we did it BIG!!!
We started in Steve & Nancy's front yard, Grandma, Granddad, and Aunt Gwennie brought donuts and Nancy had the coffee ready. We all watched the air show...It was great! They flew right over us several times.
Here is the first plane fly over while waiting for the show to start...
Tenley and Miles enjoying the breakfast...

"Uh, which way did he go?"...
Another "keeper"...
Cute side story...Tenley couldn't even look at Aunt Gwennie's knee, but as soon as Miles saw it, he was so concerned. He kept touching it ever so softly and saying "ooouuch, it hurt!". Maybe the Stansell's have another Dr on their hands...
Tenley trying out the comfy chair...
Nancy met Alanna in Big Spring on Friday night so they could enjoy the Fly-in with us on Saturday morning(Luke had a Bday party to go to Friday night, we sure did miss him).
Kate is SO photogenic...it must be the smile...
SO excited...
Miles was getting his stool ready to sit on...even though there wasn't a whole lot of sitting done by the kids...
Rachel was so sweet...every time I asked her to smile for the camera she would give me her best smile. I still can't believe she is 9...Holy Crap time flies!!!
Time for the show...
They flew over us several times...
I love this picture!!! If I would have put Sydney in Rachal's lap it would have been a complete picture..."Stansell Girls"...
Katie Bug...
Aunt Gwennie. Sydney is zoned in on that donut...
When we got to the airport they were having a little car show as well. I had the kids pick a car and I took their picture by it...the car was their pick.
Rachal's Car...
Miles' Car...
Tenley's Car...
I couldn't get Kate to pic one...maybe next year!
Now for the planes...
Where's Tenley?...Hummm interesting, I didn't realize she wasn't in this picture.
Oh there she is...Daddy is helping her get a closer look...
Miles was ready to go for a ride...
We even ran into a familiar face...
