To say that Miles loves "his" Lukie would be making the understatement of the year. I think other than his Daddy, Luke is Miles' favorite person. I mean, I'm not certain but I think Miles would eat a bug if Luke told him too...of wait, that actually happened, except it was a fly:)

Basically I foresee A LOT of mischief in these little guys futures. But also...I believe they will be the best of friends. Makes me wish that Ian & Mac lived closer to get into trouble with them as well(hint, hint, Cara)

See this is what they do...they look innocent, but as soon as you turn around you can bet they are either doing something, or planning it

Ah, the fun they are going to have together.

Syd

I have come to the conclusion some children are just born with happy spirits. Syd is one of them. Miles was too. Not much seems to bother them. They are both just easy come easy go. I guess since so many people think they look alike it is only fitting that they would also have similar spirits. 

Syd has been a pleasure from the VERY beginning. How many Moms can say they were they awoke at 5am in labor and by 7:02am was holding their precious baby in her arms? Seriously, Mom dropped me off at the hospital at 6:10am to check-in. Goose got there at 6:43am(he was working nights at the time). By 7:02am they were telling us we had a new baby girl. Now, I want to know where I need to sign up to have the next 7 the same way.

She loves to give smiles. I think her smile is what makes her such a cute baby...she has a beautiful smile.

She is such a big girl! She is 8 months old. She is still crawling all over the place. Pulls up on everything in sight(even things that aren't quite sturdy enough for her). She has 8 sparkling white teeth. She says Mama(which she said first), Dada, Baba, and Bye(at least that's what I think she is saying). She waves bye and hi. She is also filling out quite a bit, now she's no chunky monkey, but compared to Miles and Tenley she has really full cheeks and chunky little(if that's possible) thighs.

Syd also LOVES her sister and brother. She just lights up from ear to ear when the stop their playing to give her their attention. She just laughs and laughs at them. Tenley picks her up(even though she's not supposed to) and swings/slings her around like a little rag doll. Syd doesn't seem to mind, cause she never really complains. Miles is very attentive to her. He loves to sing to her. He also loves to pretend like he is going to "get" her...she in turn shrills with delight. Tenley and Miles are SO protective of her and each other. It is precious to watch them with each other.

Believe me, I am enjoying every minute of this stage...I know too well that it will not last forever...but my prayer is for it to last as LONG AS POSSIBLE!

Church VBall...

I signed Goose and I up to play volley ball in our church "league". 

We played all the time for fun when we were in jr college(mind you that was 10 yrs ago). The "season" lasts 8 weeks...sounds fun right. 

Apparently, I thought I was still 20 and in shape...well "better" shape anyway.

The Kids with O'ma

Tenley was all set and ready to head back to CO with O'ma, but I said, "No"...it's too hard on this Momma to be so far away from my big girl

Tiger Kids

As you may or may not know...the Stansell Clan has added another cousin. Steve Wade is as cute as a button. Since his arrival in Aug. we have known that we needed a new picture with all the kids. Goose's birthday weekend gave us the opportunity we needed.

I would venture a guess that getting a child to pose for a picture is one of life's hardest challenges, but getting 9 to pose...well that just almost takes and act of our good Lord above.

Ian, where are you going? Syd, is not a happy camper! The big kids are laughing because I started doing my "happy" dance, and no I will not show it to you if you ask me to.

Take 143...yes really...it took 3 cameras, 2 sessions, and several takes to finally get this one...but it was well worth it!
