A Beautiful Day Outside

It seems that I am always playing catch up on my blog. I get caught up just so I can relax and get behind again!!! Oh..well!!

A couple of weekends ago...We went to a birthday party for Luke. He was turning 4 and wanted us to help him celebrate. They had the party here in Snyder at his Grandma Linda's. It was such a BEAUTIFUL day.

We were all playing and talking in the back yard when Tenley walked behind Rachel while she was swinging...Tenley not realizing the consequence of this little action was caught off guard when Rachel and the swing swung back and completely knocked her off her feet.

Though Tenley was the one doing the crying. I think her fall hurt the Moms and Dads more than it hurt her. No one was more upset than Rachel. Bless her heart she was just sick that she had hurt Tenley. We all reassured Rachel that it was not her fault. She gave Tenley hugs and kisses...and all was right with the world again!!

Lesson #1~ Don't walk to close to a swing in use!!! Hopefully this is a lesson that Tenley will not soon forget.

Later in the day we all had a good laugh...Little Luke had taught Tenley the fine art of crawling though the doggie door!! We had noticed that Grandma Linda's came equipped with a doggie door, but thought... Surely Not!!!

Surely Yes!!! We looked up to see Tenley following Luke through the doggie door!!! Not just once but several times!!! I lost count at 10!!

Lesson #2~ Doggie Doors are WAY more fun than human doors!!!

Personally I think Miles had the right idea...yes that is him under that FILTHY cap!!! After getting loved on from Grandnanna, Granny, all the aunts, uncles & cousins Miles decided it was time for a nap. I guess Miles thought his Daddy's arms would be the perfect place for his nap, cause he went right to sleep.

With us being outside Goose was worried that Miles would get too much sun, so he graciously shared his cap. As you can see Aunt Cara snapped the cutest picture!!!
It was a beautiful day to be outside and with family!!!

The only way to get in and out of Memaw Linda's is the doggie door according to Luke. I am glad Tenley understands. Little Miles is so cute under that big hat! He has big shoes and a big hat to grow into to be as big as his Daddy. It was a beautiful day for a party!
