The kids have been acting a little "cooped up" you might say since Madison arrived. So the other day I decided to be brave and head to town to run some errands. I told the kids if they were really good I would take the to play on the playground.
Sometimes it's fun to do things a little different...although sitting like this, he was having a hard time swinging
I guess she wanted to swing her own way too...Clearly I'm going to have to do some shopping for this big girl...Ten's hand me downs just aren't cutting it! I know she has a cute little tummy...I still would like for it to be covered up.
He is such a good little boy. He wanted to stay on the swings, but when I asked him to go down the slide so I could take his picture...he said sure
In position for the perfect dismount...
Pure Joy...I love this boy to pieces!!! (As soon as I took this picture he ran right back to the swings)
You wouldn't know it, but certain parts of the playground take incredible concentration...
"See Syd, this is how you do it...it's easy!"
I can't be sure, but I think it was at this point that she realized coming down the slide head first on her back, wasn't the best idea she's ever had...
...but it was still fun!
Big girl...she is finally getting comfortable swinging on a big swing by herself.
She loves going high...
Apparently I wasn't pushing him high enough...where's Daddy when you need him?
Does this face say, "What?!? I'm kind of busy" or what?
Evaluating the slide to make sure she is going to enjoy sliding down...the verdict was NO! She had me come get her down. Last week in Lubbock she had a pretty bad tumble off a slide, so I guess now she is a little "slide shy"
Ah...the joys of pulling your little brother down a slide by his foot!
Why is it that it is almost more fun to climb back up a slide as it is to slide down it?
"Come on guys...let's go again!"
Peek...
...A Boo...
...now there's two
"Momma, Momma...Cheese!" Who knew...sometimes they actually like having their picture taken.
Monkey see...Monkey do! I guess the other two made it look so easy she thought she should try too.
"Wow, this has a little more of an incline than I originally thought"
Hey Momma!
Madison's cozy sling. Believe it or not she actually loves being in this. But for some reason she wasn't particularly happy at this moment. Maybe she didn't enjoy all the running around chasing the kids trying to get good pictures...
I think all the kids would agree(well, maybe not Madison) that the playground was a great idea on Mommas part...we should definitely do it again, and soon!

Way to go Johnnie...you brave Momma you!!! Cute pictures! They all look like they were having so much fun. The baby carrier was a must for Wade. He loved it! Can't believe we waited until #4 to get one. They are a big help while trying to cook dinner!!
