Syd's Family Birthday Party

I need to back track just a little. With Madison arriving the day after Syd's birthday I haven't had a chance to blog about her family party. So here goes...

I had good intentions of cooking Syd her favorite supper and baking a cake, but with doctors appointments, Non-stress tests, and a "screaming" headache...well it didn't happen. What did happen was Chicken Express chicken and a piece of cake with some mini cupcakes from united. Syd didn't seem to mind...in fact I think she had a lot of fun.

I started having contractions while Syd and I were taking a nap. Goose of course wanted me to go to the hospital right away, but I didn't think they were strong enough to warrant going to the hospital. Once the contractions were about 2-3 mins apart he wanted to GO. But since the contractions still weren't very strong I wouldn't go until we celebrated our sweet girls special day! After we put Steve, Nancy and the kids to bed I agreed to go to the hospital...and you know the rest...Madison Gail arrived the next day!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Girl...We love you so much!!!

She was saying "Happy Birthday to you!"

Yay...her very own nap blanket! She has been sharing with Miles and Ten. Now she has her own!!!

Her Leap Frog puppy. Apparently he got several spankings while we were in the hospital.

No birthday is complete without getting cowgirl boots.

Since I didn't get a cake made like I had planned. Nancy went to United and picked up a large piece of cake and several mini cupcakes...they were perfect!

Thank you Grampa for lighting the candles...I couldn't get the match to light when I would strike the box, so he stepped in and helped out.

"What do you think, Syd...are you ready for some cake?"
