Birthday Party...

Since we went to Fort Worth on Ten's birthday weekend, we decided to forgo a big birthday party and just have a family party. The hotel was very nice to let us use their "breakfast room" to have the party. Otherwise our room might have been a little crowded. 

We made the kids take a break from swimming. They weren't very excited until we mentioned pizza and cake.

Yes, it would have been easier to buy a cake in Fort Worth, but then I wouldn't have had the pleasure of making it. Although I don't see cake decorating becoming a hobby anytime soon, I do enjoy making my kids cakes. I was very excited that the cake traveled so well. I was more than a little worried that it was going to end up on the cement somewhere.

once again...we had a blast on our weekend in Fort Worth.
