I think it's safe to say all the Stansell's and Mcleod's had a blast a few weekends back when we drove to Fort Worth and stayed in a hotel for the weekend.
Basically our plan was to just let the kids swim in the indoor pool and visit. We didn't have any big sight seeing trip or theme park day plans. We just let the kids swim and swim and swim. It was perfect. With most of our kids being so young, they wouldn't remember much of a museum or theme park anyway. Plus it's a lot easier to keep up with them at a pool. Bonus...with all the swimming they were exhausted by bedtime.
It was a great way for us all to be together! Cara, Beau, and the boys came over to swim too. Thanks Grampa and Grandnana for making it all happen.
With floaties...swimming is possible. Apparently my kids don't think you should have to use your arms to swim. I'm not sure if they are lazy or if it means they just like doing things the hard way. Either way...Miles put the floaties on and had a blast.
Grampa even had time for a workout...

My kids are already ready for our next family getaway.
