Crazy? Adventurous? Dumb? Fun?...

Back in April as Goose the kids, and I were headed to Amarillo to look at a new vehicle. I mentioned to Goose that since the the kids and I were already this far, we should just keep going and go see my parents in CO. He quickly responded sure if that's what you want to do, but y'all wouldn't have any clothes or anything really. I chimed back, it would be fine, I would just have to wash a lot of clothes. With that we kept driving to check out the car.

Long story short...we decided to get it. We are now the proud owners of a 2005 Ford Excursion. I'm still not real sure how I feel about owning a Ford...I do like the fact that they didn't take part in the government bailout. Anyway, as we were driving back to my cousin Lori's house to pick up the kids, we decided that I would go...yay!

Goose followed me to Wal-mart where I bought tooth brushes and diapers. With that we parted ways, he came home in the new ride to work and I headed to CO in the Suburban with 4 kiddos. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better road trip. Madison did great! Other than driving straight into a fluke snow storm about an hour out from Mom and Dad's place it was smooth sailing.

Luckily I keep my little power shot camera in my diaper bag, so I was able to take some pictures of or trip.

O'ma with her two youngest grand babies...
Big helper
Pop loving on Madison for the first time...They seemed to like each other.
Brooklyn couldn't get enough of Madison. She LOVES babies! I wish I had gotten it on video, because it was so precious watching her love on her little cousin.
Miles was sure to get in some big brother time...
My silly girl...
This is a" mean face" cheese in case you were wondering...
My little goof balls...
Fluke snow storm not with standing, the weather was BEAUTIFUL! Since it was a surprise visit, O'ma and Pop still had to work. The kids and I took advantage and played outside. I made a run to Target on my first day there, bought each of the kids an extra shirt. Plus I bought some sidewalk chalk, spray water bottles, and a frisbee( all courtesy of the $1 bins).
Ten wanted to take a picture of all their names. I think it's cute that she gave each of them a "stamp" Her's is a flower, Miles' is a star, Syd's is a heart, and Madi's is a butterfly.
Ten has been calling Madi her "sweet little Madison princess"...It's very sweet.
A little out of focus, but get a load of that beautiful grin...
Hey Hey Blue Eyes, enjoying some tummy time?
Madi and O'ma getting in some play time...
Uncle D came out to have supper with us. So we made him a birthday cake. His birthday was Monday(the day after we got home)
Uncle D cuddling with Madi. This was their first time to meet too.
Antch...(Also their first time meeting). You may not remember, but Ang came down with Mom for Madi's arrival...but she never arrived, so Ang had to wait to meet her newest niece.
O'ma helped Ten with a little craft project. It really wasn't much, but Ten had a blast with O'ma and it was special to her.
Hey girls...whatcha doing? And where is Miles and Ten?
We stayed a week and had a great time. The kids love getting to go to CO. It's about a 10 hour drive, but no distance is too far if you are getting to spend time with family.

So to answer my questions...Crazy? Adventurous? Dumb? Fun? YES...YES...Maybe...YES...AND Totally worth it!!!
